2026: new collective labor agreement for temporary workers
A new collective labor agreement. What does this mean to you?
From January 2026, a new collective labor agreement will apply to temporary workers. Maybe you've heard something about it or it's new to you. Anyway: we would like to tell you what this means and what you can expect.
What has been arranged now?
On many important points, such as wages, holidays, travel expenses and allowances, you as a temporary worker already receive the same remuneration as permanent employees. This is laid down in the current ABU collective labor agreement for Temporary Workers that runs until the end of 2025. Separate agreements sometimes apply to other conditions, such as training, extra days off or a mobility scheme.
Why a new collective labor agreement?
There will be national rules that will reshape working with flex workers. The new collective labor agreement is in line with this and helps to implement these changes in a clear and fair manner. In doing so, we build on what is already there and take a step forward in further equalizing all employment conditions.
What changes for you?
Much of what applies now remains the same. What is added is that the other employment conditions, such as pension, holiday allowance or extra leave, will soon also have to be in line with what permanent employees receive.
An example: Does a permanent employee receive 10% holiday allowance and a temporary worker 8%? Then that difference must be compensated, for example with a higher wage or a gross compensation.
What exactly changes depends on the collective labor agreement or company regulations of the client where you are currently working. We ensure that everything is properly arranged, so that you get what you are entitled to from January 2026. As soon as we know more, you'll hear from us.
