Want to get to know you indoors or outdoors? You choose.
Not like the ‘hears’, but like it works
The first introduction: an exciting moment for many people. Whether you are just entering the labor market or have years of experience, an intake interview is always a matter of exploring. Who's sitting across from you? What can you expect? How do you introduce yourself?
At BergWerk we understand that. And that is precisely why we do things slightly differently.
Old school: meet at the table
We have been making intake interviews for years. And yes, usually just as it should be: opposite each other at the table, add a cup of coffee, add a notepad. Professional, clear, clear. But let's be honest, that doesn't work equally well for everyone. Some people feel freer when they move. If there is no table or screen in between. If the conversation is a bit looser and less formal. And why not give that space?
An office with an advantage
Our office borders a green, quiet park (Plantagepark) and is located right on the Wolderwijd, which has a beautiful walking path. A beautiful place that we use every day to get some fresh air or take a short walk. And suddenly we thought, why do we limit that to the lunch break? Why not also during an intake interview?
Walking works
A different kind of conversation often arises during a walk. You walk next to each other instead of sitting opposite each other. No desk, no screen, no fixed position. The tension drops faster, you look ahead instead of constantly looking at each other and that makes it easier to be open. The conversation often goes on its own. Spontaneous. Equivalent. More yourself.
That is exactly what we are looking for in an intake: an encounter in which we get to know not only your resume, but especially you as a human being.
Of course: you can also enter
That said, not everyone is happy with walking. Maybe you feel comfortable in a structured setting, with pen and paper. Or is the bad weather. Or just not your thing. Also completely good.
At BergWerk you decide how we get to know each other. Inside or outside. Walking or sitting. What works for you is the starting point for us.
