Why we are still looking for recruiters in 2026
The labor market is changing. Technology is developing rapidly. And yet we believe that the core of recruitment has changed surprisingly little. It's still about understanding people, managing expectations and asking the right questions.
That is precisely why we are still looking for recruiters in 2026.
Recruitment starts where the job profile ends
Anyone who reduces recruitment to filling vacancies only sees a small part of the profession.
In practice, it is much more often about expectations, timing, trust and the ability to ask the right questions. Not the questions that are already in a job profile, but the questions that make it clear what someone is really looking for and what an organization actually needs.
Sometimes you help a candidate discover that he is ready for a step that he himself had not yet considered. Sometimes you have to explain to a client that the ideal candidate simply does not exist. And sometimes you come to the conclusion together that it is not the candidate that needs to change, but the vacancy.
These are not always the easiest conversations, but that is often where the greatest added value of our profession lies.
A profession that continues to change
The labour market is constantly changing. Candidates have different expectations than they did a few years ago and the way people connect is also changing.
While one person likes to join us for a cup of coffee, the other prefers to schedule a Teams appointment or respond faster to an app than to an email.
We do not believe in one right way of recruitment. We believe in connecting with what works for the candidate, the customer and the situation.
That is why we continue to invest in new technology, automation and better processes. Not because it is special, but because it helps us spend more time on conversations, advice and relationships.
Because in the end no one chooses a new job because of an algorithm. And no entrepreneur makes an important decision based solely on data.
Not everything is fun
We are honest about that too.
Sometimes a candidate drops out just before a conversation. Sometimes a vacancy is filled internally. Sometimes it takes you weeks to get exercise. That's part of it.
We are therefore not looking for a colleague who only gets energy from success.
We are looking for someone who keeps energy when things go wrong. Someone who continues to think, advise and look for opportunities when the easy solution turns out not to be there.
That is why we are looking for a new colleague
We are looking for someone who remains curious.
Someone who understands that our profession is constantly changing and that change is not an obstacle, but part of reality. Someone who likes to build relationships, is visible in the market, visits customers and gets energy from conversations with people.
Not because everything is always easy. Precisely because it is not.
What you can expect from us
Of course we think it is important that the conditions are properly regulated. This includes a good salary, an attractive bonus scheme and a good pension scheme.
But we consider the way we work together to be just as important. At BergWerk you get a lot of freedom, responsibility and space to think along with. Good ideas do not have to go through five meeting tables before something happens. Do you see an opportunity or an improvement? Then we would like to work on that together.
We also think it is important that work remains fun. We regularly organize activities, sporting events and team outings at home and abroad. We stand together on the padel court, participate in volleyball tournaments and regularly bring colleagues, customers and relations together during events that we organize ourselves.
We work hard and set the bar high, but we think it is just as important that people laugh. Ultimately you spend a lot of time together. Then it is nice if you like to work together.
