Lex did an internship at one of the largest companies in Harderwijk!

Do an internship at Maars Living Walls

Last year, Lex did an internship in the logistics department at Maars Living Walls in Harderwijk. He studied Logistics Management at the HU in Amersfoort.

An educational internship

Lex carried out various activities during his internship period. He supported his supervisor and took over his duties every day. In the Excel program he was mainly involved in inventory management. He had to calculate a lot for this, such as: the waste costs to choose the most affordable supplier. In addition, Lex was responsible for managing and checking photos of the deliveries. He checked this for sharpness and whether damage was visible on one of the orders, for example. Thus, Lex gathered evidence if a complaint was filed. He kept track of all this in Excel. In the Logistics Department, Lex has worked with 10 colleagues. ‘’These are all nice people of different ages’’.

I would definitely recommend an internship at Maars!

Within Maars, Lex started together with 8 interns from various departments. “We went through the onboarding program together. We had the tour together and attended training and courses.

We also meet each other regularly during breaks. Interns are well cared for and supervised at Maars. During my internship period I got better at Excel. In addition, I have become more communicatively stronger due to the extensive contact internally with colleagues and externally with customers and suppliers.

It is also interesting to see how it all works within such a large company. I would definitely recommend an internship at Maars!”
