Jolanda continued to grow within ANWB!
Jolanda found her new job via BergWerk
54-year-old Jolanda is a real go-getter and does not like to sit still. She has been working extra for almost 3 years now ANWB Retail in Harderwijk. She started as a temporary purchasing assistant through BergWerk, but soon grew into a permanent Junior Buyer. We can say that Jolanda has completely found her place within ANWB. High time to catch up while enjoying a cup of tea!
Back in time
Retail has always been a connecting factor in Jolanda's career. She once started as a purchasing assistant and later worked as a buyer and product developer. She eventually went from marketing coordinator to a purchasing position again with the help of BergWerk. This is really where her heart lies!
In the sea with BergWerk
In 2020, Jolanda ended up at BergWerk. Our mountain worker Suzanne Visch found her promising resume. In Suzanne's eyes, her profile fit exactly into the picture of the position of temporary purchasing assistant at ANWB. That is why she proposed this position to Jolanda. At that time, Jolanda was working on a freelance assignment for a magazine and working on her own business. Yet she was very interested in the position at ANWB. This offered her the opportunity to work in a team. She was more than happy to do that, because after working independently a lot, she felt the need to work in a team again.
From temporary to permanent
Initially it was a temporary position that Jolanda would fill at ANWB. In this position she was the right-hand man of the buyers. She compiled, among other things, order details, assessed and supervised the process of samples and end products and maintained contact with internal and external parties. Although she was first employed by BergWerk, she was soon taken over. Both Jolanda and ANWB liked the collaboration so much that it was temporarily converted into permanent. Jolanda has now become a permanent face in the Hardware department. This department is responsible for purchasing all items related to travel and transport. Think of camping and beach items as well as ice scrapers and bicycle carriers.
Continue to grow within ANWB
A year after Jolanda started at ANWB, ANWB introduced a new position, namely the position: Junior Buyer. This function entails more responsibility. After all, the Junior Buyer has a say in what does and does not come into the range. Jolanda can express her creativity in this! That is why she was immediately enthusiastic and immediately applied for the vacancy. Ultimately, she was told that she could take up the position. With the right guidance from ANWB and her previous work experience, Jolanda was able to get the most out of the new position in no time.
What is it like to work at ANWB?
The collaboration within ANWB is what Jolanda enjoys working at ANWB. Various disciplines from other departments work together a lot and that provides a great connection with each other. She says:
”Helping part of the day in the distribution center to clear orders in the event of a lot of crowds will be a party where you will also see and learn a lot. You can then make improvements in your own work with the aim of an optimal customer experience, because nothing is more fun than seeing and experiencing what you have come up with and worked hard for. If this is positively received by our members and then creates new members, then the circle is completely complete.”
We are happy to hear that this winner has found her place at ANWB. We wish her the best of luck and (work) fun.
